Why Saint Thomas Aquinas?
We believe in educating every student’s mind, body and spirit.
Saint Thomas Aquinas High School, an educational ministry of the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas, invites and challenges young people to make their faith living, conscious and active by developing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a love for His Church. We believe this happens best when young people celebrate the sacraments regularly, both here and in their parish. To prepare students for leadership in the Church and society, our actions and teachings must reflect Jesus’ life and be consistent with our Catholic tradition. Curriculum includes study of scripture, Church history, Catholic Faith tradition and morality.
Students experience and grow in their faith while at Saint Thomas Aquinas through eight semesters of classroom instruction, regular liturgies and sacraments, daily prayer, retreats, service for others, and participation in clubs and activities that support the Church’s mission.
We are called to serve one another, to care for one another and support one another. As a Saint, you will use the gifts you have been given!
Learning is a life-long process. At Saint Thomas Aquinas High School, we believe that the ability and desire to obtain knowledge is as important as knowledge itself.
Taught by a committed faculty in a faith-based nurturing environment, students of all academic abilities are challenged by demanding and rigorous curriculum and a wide array of complementary activities that help fulfill their personal God-given potential and prepare them for success in college and in life.
An Enhanced Learning Opportunity program and on-staff licensed learning specialist assist students who need extra academic guidance. Each year, the number of Saints who pursue higher education is at or just under 100% of graduates, with over 50% receiving academic scholarships to at least 100 different colleges and universities.
We want to provide you with tools for unsurpassed academic achievement along with the reinforcement and continuing formation of your Catholic faith!
Raising the Bar
Take the step from dreaming to doing. Saint Thomas Aquinas is committed to educating and developing the whole person – spiritually, intellectually, socially and physically.
Students participate in clubs, activities and athletic programs at Saint Thomas Aquinas, from which there are over 65 to choose. These opportunities provide a solid foundation for young people to surpass their own expectations and also experience growth and fulfillment.
The role of service is a hallmark of what makes Saint Thomas Aquinas a community based in faith and support for others. When one member of the body of Christ is suffering, we all suffer. If one member is honored, all rejoice together.
The service component of each student’s education plays a very significant role in forming responsible citizens and future leaders. Through club-organized programs and personal exploration, students participate in service experiences throughout the year as a formative part of their education at Saint Thomas Aquinas.
We want you to experience the Spirit of the Saints!
