Saints Stampede

After much deliberation and mostly due to scheduling concerns, the Saint Thomas Aquinas High School administration

has decided to indefinitely postpone the annual Saints Stampede 5K Run/Walk, Pancake Breakfast and Family Fun Day.

The Saints Stampede was intended to be a unique activity for the school’s 25th-year celebration in 2012. Since then,

a total of 1,246 runners and walkers, 2,969 pancake eaters, and dozens of committee members and volunteers have gathered in mid-August on school grounds to celebrate the Spirit of theSaints. Generous support from sponsors and

donors generated $28,434 for the school’s Guardian Angel Fund over the event's four years.

On behalf of the entire faculty, staff and students at Saint Thomas Aquinas, we would like to especially thank each member of the Saints Stampede committee for his/her tireless efforts to create, implement and maintain a unique

and exciting opportunity that truly reflects what it means to be a Saint.

We extend sincere gratitude to the event’s founders and 2012 event chairs, Nancy and Troy Reazin, 2013/2014

chairs Ann and Dan Ernst, 2014/2015 chairs Lynn and Paul Malir, and incoming chairs Sue and Tom Marshall.

Finally, a special shout-out to members of STA's Student Council for sharing their enthusiasm and assistance,

especially the 2015-2016 executive officers and moderator: Isabel Kemp, Nicole Riggs, Patrick Lacy,

Elizabeth McCormick and Chuck Hammons.
