As a parent, this form is giving you the opportunity to disagree with the department recommendation and register your student for a higher-level class. Please use extreme caution in the desire to over-ride recommendations. Over the years, the departments of Saint Thomas Aquinas have worked very hard to place students appropriately. Success is more probable when students are placed in the correct class from the beginning of the semester. It is a win-win situation for student and teacher, since students do not have to change schedules after the class is in progress and teachers do not have late additions to their classes. Class size maximum numbers will be maintained.
Please sign this form and return it to Academic Counseling or FAX it directly to our office at 913-319-2447. We are unable to change the department recommendation until this completed form is received in our office.
