 May 18th, 2012 - St Thomas Aquinas advance to the fifth place consolation match on Saturday by winning 14 -10 against the Snow Canyon (UT) squad.  The Saints opponent is Charlotte Catholic (NC).

The Saint lost their first game in the National High School Rugby Championship by a score of 10 to 21 to Xavier (NY).

St. Thomas Aquinas one of 12 Teams Invited to HS Nationals

 Twenty-four high school teams have been invited to the 2012 National High School Championships Invitationals – eight each for Boys High School, Boys High School Club, and Girls High School Club.                       

The teams were selected from a pool of programs that had applied late in 2011. Over the course of more than a month members of the National High School Invitational panel examined all the applications, and came up with the top eight programs in each category to invite.                                    

The teams are:

Dixon Rugby Football Club (Dixon, Calif.)
Gonzaga College High School Rugby (Washington DC)
Penn HS Boys (Mishawaka, Ind.)
Snow Canyon High School Rugby (Snow Canyon, Utah)
St Thomas Aquinas Rugby Club (Overland Park, KS)
Westside RFC (Brownsburg, Ind.)
Xavier High School Rugby Football Club (New York City)
