STA CONCERT BAND

The STA Concert Band begins after marching season has ended. The focus is on developing overall collective concepts of musicality and playing together as a whole, while challenging each member individually to strive and better themselves as musicians. The Concert Band will perform for the Christmas concert. In January the group will begin focusing on more serious band literature in preparation for the KSHSAA State Large Group festival held in April. Students enrolled in band also have the opportunity to participate in the KMEA district and state solo/small ensemble competitions held in April.
