Summer Reading 2010

Summer Reading for Students Enrolled in any Honors English Class 2010-2011

All Honors English students are required to purchase (do not share), read, and annotate* the books assigned for their course/grade level (25 points). All honors students will turn in annotated books or dialectical journals and take a 25- point objective test over summer reading on the first full day of class in August. After a brief class discussion, honors students will also complete an essay exam over the reading using their annotations/journals (50 points).  Summer reading=100 points.

Students who are enrolled in a regular English course first semester and an honors course second semester or those students who have both English courses second semester are responsible for completing the summer reading and meeting with Mrs. Waters during the first seminar period in August to schedule a time to complete the assessment.
