Introduction

With great excitement and a deep sense of purpose, we share with you the Strategic Plan for Saint Thomas Aquinas High School. This plan is more than a roadmap - it is a bold expression of our commitment to forming students who live with faith, purpose, and excellence. This plan reflects who we are and who we are called to become. At its core, it affirms the truth that we are ALL called to be Saints, and our school exists to support that calling in every student entrusted to our care.

Strategic Plan 2025 - 2030

Saint Thomas Aquinas's Strategic Plan is organized into these eight key domains - Academics, Advancement, Catholic Identity, Enrollment, Facilities, Finance, Governance, and Student Life - which allows us to have a comprehensive examination of all aspects of our Saints community and guide our priorities over the coming years.

Catholic Identity

This domain is responsible for considering the mission of the school and its traditions, current expression, and future possibilities. It examines how the school brings the Gospel message to life and helps each member of the school community form a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Focus is on the charism and culture of the school, liturgies, prayer, religious instruction, retreats, Christian service, appropriate staffing, and resources as well as how the school both supports Catholic and non-Catholic students.

New Track & Field

Facilities

This domain considers current and future facility needs, mission, and tradition. The focus is on the current facilities, regular and deferred maintenance, capital needs, recent or scheduled improvements, and safety/security plans. One of the primary tasks will be to thoroughly assess all current facilities concerning their utilization, efficiency, and condition, and then to prioritize future facility needs.

The focus is on financial planning, operational budget, endowment, capital needs, cash flow, tuition, tuition assistance, and other school resources. This domain must collaborate with all other domains to understand sustainability, vitality, and viability.

Governance

This domain is responsible for considering the impact of the current governance structure on the mission of the school as well as the use and availability of resources to support its current and future operations. Governance includes three parts: the Archdiocese, the Board, and the School President/Administration. Focus is on the roles and responsibilities of each segment and how the three segments communicate and function with one another.

Student Life

This domain is responsible for considering all aspects of students’ lives and experiences outside of the academic domain.  This includes the quality of life, the social formation, and the development of the student: spiritually, morally, emotionally, physically, and socially.  Student life refers to having clear, consistent, and well–promulgated policies and procedures for behavior, discipline, availability of appropriate co–curricular activities.

Conclusion

This Strategic Plan will be our compass over the next several years, guiding our decisions and aligning our resources with our most important goals. It challenges us to act boldly and remain rooted in the mission of Catholic education.

We invite you to read the plan, envision our future, and pray that God, who has overseen this good work, brings it to completion. Thank you for your ongoing support and prayers. Together, let us continue building a Saint Thomas Aquinas High School where excellence is pursued, faith is lived, and every student is empowered to answer the universal call to sainthood.
