Graduates Class of 2025 in gowns at graduation

Our academic tracks are tailored to meet the needs of varied learners. In addition to the traditional core courses, the school offers 45 higher-level courses. Our schedule spans seven periods offering students a depth to their curriculum that combines academic courses with performing and visual arts courses.

Honors & Advanced Placement (AP) Courses

The prerequisite for taking an Honors/AP class is a grade of at least an 86% (without the extra 5 honors points) in a previous Honors class or at least 95% in an on level class.

Some Honors courses can also be taken for dual credit with college hours earned via JCCC. Students must, however, enroll and pay the current rate per credit hour to JCCC.

Dual Enrollment College Credit Programs

Saint Thomas Aquinas works with Johnson County Community College and Rockhurst University to help students obtain college credit while they are in high school. For both programs, the student is required to register with Saint Thomas Aquinas and the college credit granting institution. Tuition and fees for the course(s) are set by the institution granting credit and must be paid by the institution’s fee payment deadline, in the fall or spring of enrollment semester. Students may be enrolled in both colleges in the same semester.

All courses are taught on the Saint Thomas Aquinas campus, with credit granted by both Saint Thomas Aquinas and the college institution.
