Andrew Erker Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is named for and established in memory of Andrew Erker, a 2004 graduate of Saint Thomas Aquinas. This scholarship assists students who exhibit the qualities that Andrew was most known for: friendship, perseverance, and reaching the full potential of his abilities.
Anita & Tim Link Faith & Reason Scholarship
This Scholarship was established to recognize students who exhibit generosity toward others and genuinely support those around them while possessing high academic achievement.
Band Scholarship
Established to encourage five incoming first-year students to join the Saint Thomas Aquinas band. The applicants must have played an instrument for at least two years and will commit to the Saints Brigade for at least one full school year.
Bill & Peggy Ford Catholic Education Scholarship
Established to assist two incoming freshmen who show financial need. Students eligible for the scholarship must complete the application. Two students will be awarded $1,000 for th fall semester.
Faith into Service Award
It is awarded to an incoming freshman who faithfully represents their parish, school, and community through dedication and generosity through charitable service actions.
George Jansen Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is named for and established in memory of George Jansen, a longtime supporter of Saint Thomas Aquinas High School. Mr. Jansen was enthusiastic at many events, even before his three children graduated. This scholarship will go
to a young person who supports their classmates in all that they do.
Hap Kelly Memorial Scholarship
Established in memory of parent and Board of Trustees member Mr. Hap Kelly, this scholarship is awarded to one incoming freshman who represents values and experience in service, achievement, and character.
Iris Flournoy Memorial Scholarship
Established in memory of a long-time science teacher at Aquinas. This $1,000 scholarship will go to students entering their senior year and enrolled in their fourth year of science.
Janet Koch Memorial Scholarship
The purpose of the Janet Koch Memorial Scholarship Fund, established in memory of Saint’s parent, Janet Koch, is to provide annual scholarships for young women to attend Saint Thomas Aquinas High School to achieve their dreams. As a tribute to Janet’s enthusiasm for athletics and activities, candidates will be young women for whom extracurricular activities- music or athletics, leadership roles, or drama- are a significant part of their lives.
John W. Farmer Memorial Scholarship
John Farmer was a freshman at Saint Thomas Aquinas when he was stricken with a brain aneurysm in January 1997. Established in memory of John W. Farmer, this scholarship is designed to recognize a student who demonstrates concern for others, has a positive outlook, and shows friendship to all…the one about whom all would say, ‘He is my friend.’ The candidate is someone who tries hard, has character, embraces challenges, and lives life to its fullest.”
Four Core Values Scholarship
It is awarded to incoming freshmen demonstrating the Saint Thomas Aquinas Four Core Values of Excellence, Faith, Service, and Community.
Judy Frankovic St. Catherine of Bologna Scholarship
This scholarship is named in honor of Judy Frankovic, a teacher at Saint Thomas Aquinas High School for 25 years. It is given to a young person who has shown a love for and an emerging talent in the Visual Arts.
Kyle Ernst Foundation Scholarship
Designed for the recipient who gives 100% towards school, shows leadership in school and extracurricular activities, is outgoing, supportive, and an enjoyable classmate, shows kindness to others, is a good friend to all, and lives their
faith daily.
Morrissey Education Fund
This award is established to assist one student from any grade level who shows financial need each school year. Eligible students must complete the application and demonstrate financial need.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles G. Lamont, Sr. Memorial Scholarship
It was established in memory of the parents of Charles Lamont, former Director of Special Services at Saint Thomas Aquinas. The scholarship is awarded to students who exhibit hard work and perseverance in the classroom to reach goals. Alice and Charlie Lamont received 12 years of Catholic education in the Archdiocese of New York. They sacrificed to send their three children to Catholic schools and steadfastly believed in them.
Putman Education Fund
The Putman family established a scholarship to honor their students and show appreciation for the excellent Catholic education they received at Saint Thomas Aquinas. Five students will receive $2,000 in tuition reduction. The recipient must show financial need from a submitted FACTS application.
Richard Phillips Pursuit of Knowledge Scholarship
The Richard Phillips Pursuit of Knowledge Scholarship is designed to annually recognize and support four individuals who embody the virtues of intellectual growth, kindness, and a strong sense of community. Up to four students will receive a $2,500 scholarship to be applied to tuition for the following school year. Scholarship recipients are individuals who demonstrate a commitment to learning, critical thinking, and the pursuit of knowledge. Applicants must read two novels from a top 100 list and handwrite an essay on each.
Saint Augustine Scholarship
The scholarship encourages a student’s full development, mind, body, and soul, respecting Saint Augustine, reflecting on his trials and tribulations, acknowledging that humans are morally responsible for their actions, and trusting Jesus Christ. The Scholarship provides tuition assistance to families who exhibit financial need and a desire for their student to receive a Catholic college-preparatory education. It will go to any student who can benefit from academic rigor, good sportsmanship on and off the court, and team participation, demonstrate a deepening and broadening of their Christian / Christ-like efforts, and show emerging leadership skills.
Stephen Fulk Memorial Scholarship
Established to assist one rising junior or senior interested in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics entering the 11th or 12th grade and enrolled in a high level of science, math, or both. Their family demonstrates financial need. The award will equal one semester of tuition for the school year.
Tim Lillis Memorial Scholarship
The purpose of the Tim Lillis Memorial Scholarship Fund, established in memory of Saint’s faculty member Tim Lillis, is to provide scholarships for young men to attend Saint Thomas Aquinas High School as an avenue to achieve their dreams. As a tribute to Tim’s enthusiasm for athletics and activities, candidates will be young men for whom extracurricular activities are a significant part of their lives.
The St. John Paul II Catholic Education Scholarship
The scholarship recognizes those students who have exemplified the finest characteristics of young Christian men and women over their years in elementary school. Students who generously give their time and talents to their Church, school, classmates, and community, display leadership skills and have helped others improve through their example and encouragement will be considered. The recipient’s family must be registered at an area Catholic parish and demonstrate financial need through an application in FACTS.
Three-H Scholar Award
This recognition acknowledges a student’s unique attributes, such as juggling the rigorous academics at Saint Thomas Aquinas, specifically in math, while excelling in the Performing Arts. The scholarship is awarded to a rising senior who has incorporated Performing Arts into their curriculum. This student shall have maintained academic progress and represented the Core Values of Saint Thomas Aquinas, whose family may exhibit financial need for tuition assistance.
The Wendy Paradise Memorial Scholarship
The Wendy Paradise Memorial Scholarship honors Wendy Paradise’s life. She was a devoted mother, wife, sister and friend. She accepted her friends where they were and was fiercely loyal to their hearts. Two students will be awarded each school year with a scholarship that will cover the tuition for one semester of high school and who demonstrate financial need. Students must apply by applying and desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
