Tuition & Affordability
At Saint Thomas Aquinas, we are committed to making a Catholic education affordable to all.
As a Catholic high school in the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas, we strive to offer financial assistance to families who desire a Catholic education. Since our inception in 1988, the mission has always been to make tuition affordable and accessible to students from a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds. We stand committed to this mission.

Determining Financial Assistance
Our commitment to affordability looks like:

Financial assistance is awarded based on the need shown in each family’s application. Every application is carefully reviewed to ensure that grants are distributed fairly and thoughtfully. Our goal is to provide meaningful support that helps lighten the financial burden for families in need.
We adjust tuition based on each family’s unique situation, considering factors such as income, family size, the number of children in Catholic schools, and extraordinary expenses like medical costs. Our sliding scale ensures that tuition stays affordable for families from many different backgrounds.
Applying for Financial Assistance
The last day to submit applications for financial assistance for the 2026-27 school year is January 31st, 2026.
Saint Thomas Aquinas uses FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment, an independent, outside provider, to collect a variety of financial information, including income, assets, and expenses, to objectively evaluate each family’s financial needs. The funds will be distributed in the most equitable way possible taking each family's circumstances into consideration - family size, employment, expenses, priorities for spending, etc. Please note, that we reserve the option to deny a family's application if they do not qualify.
Financial aid is provided on an annual renewal basis. Timely submission of all financial aid forms is essential. It is strongly encouraged that you upload your most current W-2 when you receive it.
NOTE: Financial assistance awards will be distributed to families following the program's deadlines. Any applications or verification documents submitted after the priority submission deadline of December 15th will be considered for secondary rounds of assistance but may receive less assistance than a similar family who applied within the deadlines.
Follow These Steps
Step 1
Apply to Saint Thomas Aquinas. Upon acceptance, complete the FACTS aid application.
The Priority Deadline is December 15. Applications can be submitted up to January 31, however, they will be subject to available funds.
Step 2
Financial Aid awards are made in April/May and will be reflected on the tuition statement for the next school year.
Awards are automatically uploaded to the FACTS accounts of registered families.
Step 3
If new circumstances arise after completing your FACTS aid application, email Diane Pyle, Director of Financial Assistance and Scholarships
dpyle@stasaints.net to inquire about adjustments. We are committed to making things work for you within our means!

The cost of tuition should not deter a student from attending Saint Thomas Aquinas. We are committed to working with families who demonstrate a genuine financial need based on their income, family size, employment, expenses, priorities for spending, and unique circumstances.
