Pieces is Saint Thomas Aquinas's annually published 48-page art and literary magazine. Every year, all students are invited to submit their original poetry, personal essays, photos, and art to Pieces for a chance to have their work be selected and printed in the magazine. From September to Pieces' distribution in April, Pieces staff collect and choose submissions, lay out and edit spreads, and work to foster a creative and passionate environment at Aquinas.
Now on its 29th volume, each edition of Pieces strives to push artistic boundaries and to publish a better magazine every year, highlighting all the incredible talents Aquinas students possess. As a completely student-led extracurricular activity, being on staff challenges students to grow as leaders and as creators. Pieces is free for Aquinas students, and it is a beloved and much talked-about part of our spring semesters when it is distributed to all English classes. If you are thinking about a career in media publications, or just love art and design, we would love for you to think about joining our staff next year!
