A Message from our President

schenckDear Parents and Students:
Change can be an exciting concept. I never liked change growing up because there was too much uncertainty. However, the winds of change are a constant in our world, and learning how to respond to change is a life lesson. The song, Winds of Change, from the early 1990s talked about living in the “magic of the moment” and giving children an opportunity to dream and look forward. There is “magic” in the present moment because it provides an opportunity for growth and improvement.
We saw this in our Gospel a few weeks ago. The apostles were in the boat with Jesus when the winds and storms caused panic and fear. Jesus woke up and calmed the storm but took the opportunity for a powerful lesson. “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Jesus is calling us to trust in Him, right now, at the moment. We are not alone on the journey. God has provided the gifts of the Holy Spirit to guide us. We also have our community, our Saints family, to keep us strong.
We are excited about the start of the 2021-2022 school year. All kinds of changes are happening over the next few weeks. We are going to change from our summer routines into the school year routines. Our students are a year older with new opportunities. Happily, we are dealing with a less COVID world and more of a typical school year. Our faculty and staff are dealing with many changes and new responsibilities. With all of the moving parts, Jesus reminds us repeatedly with the calming words “peace be with you” or “do not be afraid.” Our peace comes by building relationships with each other which helps us to become closer to Jesus.
We want to let you know that the Activities & Athletics Office will now be called the Student Life Office. We want to recognize the complete student life experience. Our students have many strengths, and our students need to be celebrated and recognized beyond the classroom. Ken Fox, our new Director of Student Life, will keep our dedication to excellence in this area strong.
We would like to give a special welcome to our transfer families and the families of the Class of 2025. We look forward to seeing you at the Extravaganza gift gathering parties for your class. It is an excellent opportunity to meet people. Plus, there will be food! We are thrilled you are now a part of our community.

I am confident in our community as we approach the opportunities of the 2021-2022 school year. Our faculty and staff are an incredible group of people. Our students are great leaders and committed to caring about each other. Our parents believe in our mission, and we appreciate their support. We are blessed to have a unity of purpose as we move forward. God bless this school year, and remember, LOVE CONQUERS ALL!
