Or perhaps an even better question is: “What is the purpose of an education?” In our days in which young adults must get degrees, master skills, and enter the workforce to support family life, it can be tempting to say that education is merely about becoming successful and making money. Education certainly helps with this; in fact, a solid education, like the one our students receive from our talented and devoted teachers, will position them uniquely for such success.... Grandparents Day Mass Grandparents Day Mass is Friday, October 15 @ 9:45 AM. Signup to have a personal invitation sent to your Grandparent. We will show the movie Horton Hears a Who It has many Pro-Life themes. We will enjoy the movie, treats, and discuss those themes briefly. A fun Friday night since the football team is out of town. October 2 (Sat) - First Saturday 8:15 am Mass at Nativity, 9am prayer at Planned Parenthood (109th St, just east Roe Blvd), and then breakfast. October 3 (Sun) - Life Chain 1:30-2:30 PM Saint Thomas Aquinas has a spot on 95th St just east of Nieman Rd. We will pray with the rest of the Nation for an end to abortion. Other organizations and Churches all join together on this day at this hour to pray. Please join us, we have signs and treats. October 24 (Sun) 40-days for Life We will be praying all day in front of an abortion Clinic that does late term abortions. This prayer campaign is nationwide also. We will have a sign up in the future, to choose one hour time slots so we need a lot of participation: team, families, individuals. Come and support the Right to Life!! |

COVID Update It is our hope that this update finds you and your family in good health and doing well. We ask for your continued prayers as we move through the school year. I would like to update you on where we stand now in terms of COVID activity within our school, how those numbers compare locally, and the state of our current isolation/quarantine policies... CLICK HERE to read more... Picture Retake Day Monday October 11 Picture retakes will take place on Monday, October 11 at 7:15 AM in the Commons. Unwanted picture packages should be returned at this time. Senior Sitting tickets are available with Mrs. Bellau in the main office. If you have a Senior that still needs a Senior Portrait sitting for the yearbook composite please have your Senior student stop by the office and get a portrait ticket from Mrs. Bellau. Senior Portrait Sitting Dress Requirements Gentlemen - you should wear a sport coat, dress shirt, and tie. Hairstyle should be appropriate to the school dress code. You should be clean-shaven and free of any earrings. Ladies - you are asked to wear a blouse or dress with an appropriate and flattering neckline. |

Fall Choral Concert On October 10th, the Saint Thomas Aquinas Choral Department will be having it’s Fall Choral Concert at 2:00 in the STA commons. You will hear the Concert Choir perform some great pieces. The Chamber Choir will perform music that they will be auditioning for District and State choir. And the show choirs will be performing some of their songs for their competition shows. All are welcome, and there is no admission fee. ![]() Saints Annual Appeal We want to thank you for your support of the SAA. Again the ultimate purpose of the appeal is to fill the gap in the operating budget to be able to provide a strong student experience. We are fortunate to have 88% of our students participate in some activity, club, and/or athletic program. Currently, 16% of our families have participated in the Saints Annual Appeal this year. We would like to see a higher percentage participate. Please consider giving a $50 - $150 gift. It does not need to be a large amount. Thank you!
