Saint Thomas Aquinas is doing all we can to continue to provide a healthy environment for our students and faculty. This is a team effort and we need to make sure we are all understanding the parameters that must be followed. Please take the time to read the information below. It is the responsibility of everyone to follow these guidelines.

  • REMINDER: If you have tested, you may not return to school until test results are known. Please call the attendance office at 913-319-2415 to inform the school you are waiting for test results (this absence will not count against the waiver). Proof of a negative test is needed to return to school.
  • See below for protocol for positive tests and close contact.
  • Please call the school if you have any questions or we can help in any way.

  • Regardless of vaccination status, an infected person needs to quarantine for 5 full days.
  • If asymptomatic or symptoms are resolving after 5 days and a person is fever free for 24 hours, without the use of fever reducing medications, they can return to school/activities but must wear a mask for 5 days

  • Boosted or fully vaccinated individuals with Pfizer/Moderna within the last 6 months or Johnson & Johnson within the last two months do NOT have to stay home and should wear a mask around others for 10 days. They should get tested on day 5 if exposure.
  • For persons who are unvaccinated OR have completed the primary series of Pfizer/Moderna vaccine over 6 months ago and are not boosted OR have completed the primary series of Johnson & Johnson over 2 months ago and are not boosted, need to stay home for 5 days. After 5 days, they may return to activities but will need to wear a mask for 5 days. All individuals should get tested on day 5 of exposure.
  • If a student has tested positive within the last 90 days, they do NOT have to stay home but should wear a mask for 10 days.

Saint Thomas Aquinas High School’s Annual Mass presided over by Archbishop Joseph Naumann will be on Friday, January 14, 2022, at 9:45 AM. The All-School Mass will also be a celebration of the Feast of St. Thomas Aquinas. Immediately following Mass a reception will be held in the Learning Commons. If you plan to attend the Mass, we hope you will join us to meet & greet Archbishop Naumann.
History Club Coat Drive and Cause Day

There is no school Monday, January 17 in recognition of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. To honor  King’s legacy in serving others and to reflect the nationally adopted motto, “a day on, not a day off,” the One Nation Under God History and Civic Engagement Club is sponsoring a coat drive. Please send in gently used coats, hats, and mittens next week (1/17-1/21) for Catholic Charities to help settle and support refugees in the Kansas City area.  In addition, students may bring $5 on Friday, January 21 to wear jeans or sweats with spiritwear in support of this cause. Contact club president, Thomas Kluck, or faculty sponsor, Mrs. Cloues, with any questions. Thanks for your support!

An application is considered complete when an applicant fills out the application and uploads all 2020 tax documentation, including a 2021 W-2. The application charge is $35.00 per family, payable by credit card at the end of the session.
