Dear Parents and Students,

The Olympics have fascinated me for as long as I can remember. The stories, the heartbreak and the triumphs are all part of the experience. Sport can be an incredible and life-changing experience for an individual, community, and country. The lessons learned on the court or field that are applied in life are oftentimes the best-learned lessons. Discipline, focus, grit, adaptability, teamwork, working for a common goal are some of the lessons I learned through sport...

Course Selections For 2022-2023 School Year
Students are bringing home packets for the next academic school year. There is a lot of information included in the packet to help families understand the best way to proceed in choosing classes. Please take the time to look over the information and discuss with your son or daughter what courses they are interested in taking next year.

2022-2023 Anchor Dates
Below are the Anchor Dates for the 2022-2023 school year. While we don’t anticipate having to make any changes to these dates, they are subject to change.
Giving the Basics
This week is the Annual “Giving the Basics” supply drive.

Giving The Basics ( is a local organization that teams up with schools, non-profits and businesses to bring hygiene products to underserved people in the metropolitan area.

Often these items are not covered by government assistance programs and so many will go without. Giving the Basics strives to bring health, opportunity and dignity to those in need by supplying these basic hygiene items.

We welcome your support as we attempt to achieve our class goals next week:
Freshman: 500 toothpaste + 125 deodorant
Sophomores: 500 dental Floss + 125 deodorant
Juniors: 500 single use razors + 125 deodorant
Seniors: 500 combs and Brushes + 125 deodorant

Please consider making a donation to a class or contributing items.

Saints make a difference! FINISH UP STRONG!

Pinkout Basketball T-Shirts

All proceeds will go to Missy's Boutique. The Boutique’s mission is to help cancer patients and survivors throughout the region restore their dignity, build their self confidence and reclaim their self image.

WPA Dance - Saturday, February 12
We are all feeling the Disco Fever as we get ready for WPA this weekend!!  Here are some last-minute reminders to make sure everyone is ready for a great evening.

  1. The dance is from 8:00-11:00 PM. Students will need to enter through the South Commons doors only. All students must be at the dance no later than 9:00. We will call the parents of any student not at the dance by 9:00 PM. All students must remain at the dance until at least 10:30 PM.
  2. Everyone that enters must have purchased a ticket. No paper ticket is necessary. We have a list at the door.
  3. If tickets have not been purchased yet, you can purchase them online through midnight tonight (Thursday 2/10) for $20 a person. If students don’t get them today, they have one more chance to purchase them on Friday. Students can go to room 203 and purchase them for $25 a person from Mrs. Schoneman between 7:30 and noon. ABSOLUTELY NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR!
  4. Unlike many area schools, WPA at Aquinas is not a semi-formal dance. We do want the students to dress in theme but please remember to be modest. Male students should not be wearing shirts that are mostly unbuttoned. Female students should not be showing more than 2 inches of midriff.
  5. Remember if your student is bringing an outside guest, your student is responsible for that outside guest and needs to make sure that the outside guest is abiding by our dance protocols.
  6. We will have a breathalyzer at the dance, as we do at all dances. Students will be tested as they enter. Cars that are parked in the lot can be checked.
  7. A growing concern is the number of students who attend “after” WPA parties or spend the night with fellow classmates. If you feel the need to have a party, please be very diligent in supervising the party. Students in the basement without a chaperone have caused parents many headaches over the years. Sleepovers are highly discouraged. All students should have a curfew for these special nights and absolutely do not allow boy/girl sleepovers. There is absolutely nothing wrong with your student coming home after the dance. Dinner and the Dance are enough for the evening.
