Saint Thomas Aquinas Boys Volleyball Club has been a member of the Kansas City High School Boys Volleyball League since its inception in 2019. Boys high school volleyball is the fastest growing team sport in the country with a 56% increase in participation over the past decade.
We are entering our 8th year as a club sport at STA with tryouts beginning in March for our Spring 2025 season. Typically, we will run both a Varsity and JV team, but with an increase in interest, we may have enough for 3 teams this year.
Our teams play in Tri's during the regular season along with both a mid-season tournament and a league championship at the end of the season. Our athletes are eligible to receive Varsity letters at STA and our Seniors are recognized at home matches with Senior banners and a Senior Night. We are competitive, but more importantly, we have fun, act with grace, and are respectful to the referees, coaches, team managers, teammates, and other athletes we compete against when representing Saint Thomas Aquinas!
Join us at an upcoming open gym session in January and February to learn the fundamentals, practice drills, and scrimmage with new and returning athletes!

Boys Volleyball practices Mondays, Wednesdays, and Sundays in the Main Gym from 6:00 to 8:00PM! If times change you will be notified through out message system.
2025
Varsity finished the regular season with a 20-2 record in match play, won the Midseason Tournament, and finished 2nd in the Varsity League Championship. Overall, the team ranked 2nd out of 24 teams.
JV 1 (Sophomores) finished 13-6, finished 2nd in the regular season, and won the Junior Varsity Leageu Championship.
JV 2 (Freshman) finished 7-5 in the league and were ranked 8th out of 15 teams.
2024
Varsity finished the regular season undefeated at 12-0 in match play and placed 3rd in both the Mid-Season Tournament and the Varsity League Championship. Overall, we finished 20-2 in match play and were ranked 3rd out of 26 Varsity teams.
JV placed 3rd in the JV League Championship and finished the season ranked 5th out of 12 JV teams.
2023
In the final year playing against high schools in both Kansas and Missouri, Varsity finished the regular season at 9-8 in match play and placed 3rd out of 24 teams in the Varsity League Championship. Overall, we finished 13-9 in match play and were ranked 13th out of 35 Varsity teams.
JV finished the regular season undefeated at 12-0 in match play and placed 3rd in the JV League Championship (lost to a Varsity team). Overall, we finished the season ranked 1st out of 16 JV teams.
