Are you interested in Architecture?

AIA Kansas City’s Education Outreach Committee is excited to invite students to participate in Inside Architecture, which will take place on Thursday, April 16, 2026, as part of AIA Kansas City’s Architecture Week (April 12–18). Inside Architecture is taking the place of Day of Shadowing, which was previously hosted by our Women in Design Committee.

Inside Architecture is specifically for students who are interested in considering careers in architecture and gives students the opportunity to spend a morning at a local architecture firm and experience what a career in architecture can look like. Students will tour an office, hear directly from architects about their education and career paths, and participate in hands-on activities to learn about the design process. Architecture firms across the Kansas City metro are excited to host students and share their day-to-day experiences in the profession.

If your school is interested in participating in the Inside Architecture event, please complete the Counselor Form here.

Counselor forms are due by February 20, 2026. If you have any questions, please feel free to reply to this email.

Student sign-up forms will be shared at a later date and will help us assign students to participating firms.

As part of Architecture Week, AIA Kansas City is also hosting “A Sneak Peek into Architecture” on Tuesday, April 14, at AIA Kansas City’s downtown office. This Q&A-style event allows students to meet working professionals and learn more about preparing for architecture school. Please see the Architecture Week flyer for additional details and a link to sign up.

Thank you for your continued support- we look forward to students learning more about careers in architecture!

Best regards,

AIA Kansas City
