Freshman Orientation

Freshman Orientation: Wednesday, August 13

Drop off will begin at 7:45 AM and will continue until around 8:00 AM. This is a required day. If a student is absent, parents will need to follow the normal attendance procedure by calling the attendance secretary, Karen Frederick, at 913-319-2415. 

Parents should drop students off at the circle drive (near the flagpole). Your son/daughter will be escorted into the building.

Bring the following items:

• Waterbottle
• Backpack
• Laptop - please make sure it is securely stored in your student’s backpack before they get out of the car

Dress Code
For All Students:

• All students are expected to demonstrate an appropriate level of modesty. 
• No extreme hairstyles or colors.
• Comfortable shoes, as students will be moving around frequently.

Boys:

• Slacks of any color and a collared shirt
• Must be clean-shaven
• No earrings or piercings
• Hair must be off the collar, with visible cheeks and eyebrows

Girls:

• Dress, skirts, slacks, or blouses in any color
• No leggings, spaghetti straps, cut-outs, or midriff showing
• Modest neckline (no cleavage showing) 
• No facial piercings

Please note: Students who do not meet the dress code requirements will not be allowed to have their school picture taken.

We will close the day with a Pep Assembly at 2:10 PM in the gym. Parents are welcome to attend. Please enter the Main Office at 2:00 to sign in. You will be escorted to the gym and directed to the parent seating area.

After the Pep Assembly, students will be meeting with their Peer Mentor in the Commons. Students will be dismissed by 3:00pm.
