Honors Biology Studying BioTechnology

Students in Mr. Hammon's Honors College Biology are currently studying BioTechnology. Students in these photos are preparing for Polymerase Chain Reaction, or PCR, and gel electrophoresis. Each of them is developing their pipetting techniques.

PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) is "a revolutionary lab technique that rapidly makes millions to billions of copies of a specific DNA segment from a tiny sample, essentially acting as 'molecular photocopying' for detailed analysis in research, forensics, and diagnostics".
