Scholarships at Saint Thomas Aquinas

Applications are due by April 9, 2026.

This $1,000 (nonrenewable) scholarship is awarded  to a rising senior who has been positively influenced by a family member who is currently serving or has previously served in the military. Preference will be given to applicants who plan to pursue military service following graduation. (ROTC participation is permitted with the notion of future enlistment into the military.)

Applicants must have, or have had, a family member who has served in the military.

Eligible students must meet the following criteria:

  • Demonstrate strong character, integrity, and a commitment to serving others
  • Exhibit an understanding of the importance of faith and service to country, as reflected in their essays
  • Maintain a clean disciplinary record
  • Complete the full application, including a two-part essay (600–900 words total)
  • Submit a letter of recommendation from a current or former teacher

Essay Requirements (Two-parts)

Part I: Personal Influence (300–450 words)
Describe a family military member who has had a meaningful impact on your life. What specific experiences, lessons, or examples have shaped who you are today?

Part II: Faith & Service (300–450 words)
What does it mean to serve both God and country? How do you plan to live out these values in your future?
