Advanced Drama class goes Backstage at the KCRep Copaken Stage
Mr. Jackson's daughter, Amaya is a senior at Aquinas and was also on the field trip. Because of the Jackson's close relationship with the Rep, The Drama class was given a backstage tour, photo opportunities with the actors, and participated in a meet and greet with the entire cast of Broke-ology,

About Broke-ology and Mr. Jackson (Source: The Kansas City Repertory Theater.)
Broke-ology is a powerful drama written by Kansas City, Kansas native, Nathan Louis Jackson. In 2009 it had its Off-Broadway debut, and in 2010 it premiered in the Midwest at KCRep’s Copaken Stage. The story followed two brothers who were called upon to take care of their ailing father. The brothers had to make a difficult choice: who would follow the life their father dreamed of and who would stay behind? In August 2023, Nathan unexpectedly passed away, and KCRep and the nationwide theatre community mourned the loss of our friend and collaborator. We are pleased to honor Nathan and celebrate his legacy as we revisit this heartwarming play in 2025, 15 years after its premiere.
