Saint Thomas Aquinas High School is a proud participant of the Kansas Thespian Festival. Congratulations to our Saints for bringing home the GOLD!
This past weekend 14 Saint Thomas Aquinas students traveled to Wichita for the annual Kansas Thespian Festival and brought home awards!
Congratulations to our award recipients:
- Gigi Miner and Johnny Wigdahl received Excellent ratings for their Musical Solo performances.
- Adel Walker earned a medal and a national qualification in Musical Theater Solo performance and an Excellent rating in Scenic Design.
- Chloe Hochanadel medaled and qualified for nationals in two events: Musical Solo and Monologue.
- The Tech Theater Team earned 2nd place overall in the competition. The winning team included: John Howe, Caitlin Dolan, Caran McMahon, and Grady Huber.
A special thank you to Theater Director, Kim Spillman! Through the guidance, support, and encouragement of dedicated teachers like Kim, our students continue to grow, develop their talents, and pursue excellence.

The Advanced Drama class had a very special opportunity to visit the Kansas City Repertory Theater Copaken Stage on Tuesday, February 25. While there, they viewed a play written by Saint Thomas Aquinas parent, the late Nathan Lois Jackson whose daughter, Amaya is a senior at Aquinas.
