Choir

Saint Thomas Aquinas offers four different choirs for students in grades 9-12. All choirs sing at Mass, Fall Concert, Christmas Concert, Spring Concert and Dinner Theater, and they participate in KSHSAA Music Festivals.

Classical Choirs

Concert Choir

Concert Choir does not require an audition for enrollment. Students in this choir learn all the fundamentals of good singing and music theory while participating in Concerts, Coffeehouse, Masses at Aquinas, and Dinner Theater.

*This course counts towards the Arts credit requirement for graduation. 

Chamber Choir

Chamber Choir is the auditioned classical choir at Saint Thomas Aquinas. Students in Chamber Choir sing music at a much higher level of difficulty, and they perform annually at the OP Arboretum’s Luminary Walk. Chamber Choir travels to local parishes to sing Mass, as well as sing in the Concerts at Aquinas, Coffeehouse, Masses at Aquinas, KSHSAA Music Festivals, and Dinner Theater. Chamber Choir rehearses zero hour on Mon/Wed/Fri.

Auditions for the 2025-2026 Year

Monday March 24th STA will have auditions for the 2025-2026 Show Choirs from 3:30-8:30PM! Saintsations

Saintsations is the all female competitive Show Choir at Saint Thomas Aquinas. These students learn all styles of music including: Contemporary Christian, classical choral, rock/pop, musical theatre. The Saintsations begin the year with a music and dance intensive camp, and perform their show choir set in competitions around the Midwest from Jan-Mar each year.

*Auditions are held in late March for the following year. 

Swingin' Saints

Swingin’ Saints is the mixed competitive Show Choir at Saint Thomas Aquinas. These students learn all styles of music, and start work on their competition set in the late summer with a music and dance intensive camp. Their competition season runs Jan-Mar each year and they perform throughout the Midwest. Swingin’ Saints also performs for Extravaganza in November.

Dinner Theater 2025 at Saint Thomas Aquinas

Dinner Theater tickets are now on sale! "Aquinas Got Talent" Dinner Theater is May 3rd and May 4th. Seated dinner served to you at 6:00 PM by the singers of Saint Thomas Aquinas, while they also entertain you in the Commons. Theater Show begins at 7:00 PM.

Dinner is $20 per plate. Theater show tickets only are $8 per person.

Enjoy your favorite rock and roll songs and ballads sung by the choirs and the Seniors!
