Student Dances

Are students that are not enrolled at Saint Thomas Aquinas allowed?

Yes. There is an Outside Dance Contract Form associated with each dance that must be downloaded, filled out, and returned to the Student Life Office around a week before the dance. The outside student must get the form signed by an administrator and be in good standing at their current school .

Saint Thomas Aquinas Student and Outside Guest Dance Requirements

1. All dance guests must be under the age of 21 at the time of the dance.
2. All dance guests must be a Freshman or higher for Winter Semi-Formal and a Sophomore or higher for Homecoming.
3. Only one guest per Aquinas student is allowed.
4. Students must present a valid photo ID (school ID or driver’s license) at the time of admittance to the dance.
5. The outside guest must be a student in good standing at his/her school.
6. All items are subject to search (i.e. purses, coats, etc).
7. All dress must be appropriate and in good taste. If not, the Aquinas student and his/her guest may be barred from entering the dance.
8. Use, distribution or possession of drugs or alcohol (this includes tobacco and vaping) is prohibited at any school event. If a violation occurs, authorities will be notified and parents called. Students may be checked with an alcohol analyzer.
9. Inappropriate dancing will not be allowed. If necessary, students may be escorted out and barred from the next Aquinas dance.
