For the second year in a row, Niche has ranked Saint Thomas Aquinas High School #1!
This year's Middle School Tailgate was electric! 🤩 Performances by our Saints Band, Cheer Squad, and Dance Team got the evening rockin'!
But it was our Middle School Half-time scrimmage featuring Prince of Peace Catholic School vs. Cure' of Ars Catholic School that got us in the spirit of celebrating our youth of the Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of Kansas City in KS! We look forward to seeing these faces back on the field wearing our blue and gold! 😉

Upper level French and German students recently wrapped up a unit studying the fine arts. Students researched a topic of their choice, created projects to display their research, and discussed with peers in the target language what they learned.
Check out the German “Ausstellungen” (“exhibit posters”) and French “salles d’exhibition” (“exhibition rooms”)!
The two groups united for a visit to the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art to experience many fine works of art in person.
Chelsie Kane's advanced ceramics class are in the middle of wheel throwing lessons and animal constructions. We cannot wait to see these glazed and finished,
Engineering students developed a project for Mathematics teacher Mr. Ernst to create a dry-erase marker and eraser holder for the whiteboards in the Math Department. Students were graded on function, design, cost, etc. Each Math teacher came by and “ordered” a holder (or more if needed) for their classroom.

New this year is Supper Club! Open to all students, the goal of the club is to learn more about our Catholic faith in a relaxed environment!
Once a month, students are invited to the Chapel during the second half of STA period to hear from a different speaker on various topics.
Join your peers this Friday to hear from our own Chaplain, Fr. Colm, and see if you can "stump the priest".
Extravaganza is our annual auction that benefits the students of Saint Thomas Aquinas High School by providing funds for after-the-bell extra-curricular activities.

What an amazing opportunity for our Girls Flag Football club! Led by Coach Samantha Paradise, the girls had the time of their lives! Many thanks to the Chiefs for making this happen!
For those I have not had the chance to meet, my name is Andrew Cunningham. In just a few short days, I will be heading to St. John Vianney Theological Seminary in Denver, and as a life-long parishioner of Prince of Peace, Fr. Greg and Fr. Andrew have kindly given me the spotlight in this week's bulletin to offer my gratitude and share a bit of my journey.

Alebrijes (Spanish pronunciation: [aleˈβɾixes]) are brightly colored Mexican folk art sculptures of fantastical (fantasy/mythical) creatures. You can find them in the movie "Coco".
In German-speaking countries, this is a tradition for 1st graders on their first day of school. Parents decorate large cones and fill them with school supplies, small toys, candy, and good luck charms.
Made possible through our We Are Called Campaign, this partnership with Rockhurst University gives students hands-on experience and a chance to explore a career in healthcare. We are beyond blessed and look forward to what the future holds!
The Art Club is ready to create art and expand their learning! Their #1 goal is a field trip to the Nelson! The club is open to all students!
Sophomore, Matt Brun had the incredible opportunity to sing the National Anthem at the Royals v. Mariners game Thursday, August 17. He was asked to wear Royals gear, or he would have worn something with Saint Thomas Aquinas on it to promote the Saints.
Matt is a member of the Swingin’ Saints. His parents are both Saints Alumni, Mike and Carrie (Kavanaugh) Brun, '97.
