Wiffle Ball Champion - Andre Jaso, '28

Recently I interviewed Aquinas freshman Andre Jaso, whose competitive wiffle ball team won the MOWiff National Wiffle Ball Competition held in Chesterfield, MO this past summer. In their quest for the title, Andre and his wiffle ball teammates won three competitions, defeating two world champion teams along the way. Currently, Andre is in a draft for a new team that will begin practicing this December.

Andre first picked up a wiffle ball bat at the age of nine, playing with his friends and family. His favorite part of the game? "Hittin' tanks" or hitting home runs, while his least favorite part is losing.

He’s definitely well-equipped for the sport, with a collection of gear that includes tape, bats, wiffle balls, and more. With his enthusiasm and skill, it’s clear that Andre has a bright future in wiffle ball. Congratulations on winning nationals, Andre!
